Footwear - save those toes

freestyle_dance_shoesSome people do ...some people don't.  But ALL people must follow the rules. What you wear on your feet should not endanger the other dancer's bare feet or toes.

From split sole ballet slippers to little slip on pads for the ball of the feet, one thing this choices have in common is there in no heel.  Heels can hurt, and the line of split sole jazz shoes looks the same but they have heels.  One other thing these footwear choices have in common is that they are never worn in the street.

I personally wear split-sole Bloch's and Capezios in both leather and cloth. Floor change, extra footwear is nice.

So where to find a large selection is at:  1887 Dance Shop, 2206 Union Street, San Francisco, CA 94123-3902 (415) 441-1887 ‎

Capezio's FootUndeez Full Body features a full-sole design for added security, heel protection and arch protection while maintaining the same four-way, breathable, comfortable stretch of the original. The dual suede sole patches provide superb protection and accurate fit. Perfect for modern, lyrical, ballet, yoga and Pilates. Click here for an example of them on the web.
